Pelican Wharf, Wapping Wall, London, 2021

This interior design project in East London involved the full scale refurbishment of a large lateral apartment on Pelican Wharf with views out to the River Thames and Canary Wharf. Our brief was to create a complete entertainment space for the Client to use as his “bachelor pad”.

One of the features of the property is a large media wall which is concealed behind an innovative bi-folding screen of timber battened doors. Below this TV unit is a large gas fire-place, creating a cosy focal point for the room.

Timber Fins and Warm Textures

We designed a new open plan kitchen space for this project which included a series of timber-finned screens to balance a sense of openness and connection with an element of enclosure for the kitchen space.

Shaken, not Stirred!

In keeping with the bachelor pad aesthetic, our design included a full-size “Shaken, Not Stirred” James Bond tiled mosaic in the master en-suite. This space also features a built-in home sauna and large walk-in steam shower.

Home DJ Booth

Throughout the property we sought to innovate with the joinery design to suit the clients needs. This storage cabinet includes and integrated wine-fridge and can be extended for use as a home office by day and “Dr. Festival’s” DJ booth by night!

Live Work Balance

The bedroom spaces have all been designed with larger dressing tables to suit the potential of working from home and to allow for adapting for contemporary living.
