Lamont Road, Chelsea, London, 2022

Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, just off King’s Road in the heart of Chelsea, this project included the full refurbishment and extension of 5 storey townhouse. Carefully Detailed Natural Materials

The new kitchen was designed around a central social island space, which was wrapped in a flowing Corian countertop. The Corian extends to the kitchen countertop, which subtly steps up to form the kitchen sink surround. Douglas Fir was used to create the carefully detailed cabinets, drawers and shelving.

Secret Wall

The ground floor living spaces are designed as a series of interconnected spaces, which create a sense of openness while also allowing each room feel intimate in their own sense. The central TV room can be accessed via a discrete secret door from the main stairwell, subtly concealed within the wall panelling.

Generous Master En-Suite

We reconfigured the layout of the first floor to create a new master suite that features a generous bathroom space. Accessed via a pair of sliding pocket doors, the central free-standing bath creates the focal point of the light-filled space.

Simple Considered Kitchen Details

Each detail of the joinery was carefully considered to suit the Client’s day-to-day life and to both simplify and honour the rituals of daily life.

The kitchen space includes full-height pantry storage and a central appliance space for toasters, juicers and kettles.

Dappled Light

The basement extension creates a new connection with the rear garden allowing it to be accessed from three levels to the rear of the property. The stepped garden terracing and full-height bi-folding doors help draw light deep into the basement space and create a sense of retreat.
