This project involves the design of a new 9 apartment building organised around a central courtyard space.
The redevelopment of the site will provide new high quality housing for the area and enable the new residents to live comfortably to modern housing standards.
Harmonious Design Context
All apartments have generous balconies and garden space and are dual-aspect or triple aspect.
The proposed design, seeks to harmonise with the existing context while also drawing on the scale, height and rhythm of neighbouring buildings.
Comfortable Modern Living
The form and appearance of the building, clad local brick and utilising dormer roof profile, respects the existing context while also seeking to add a contemporary voice to the historic narrative of the site.
The proposal also includes a cycle store for 14 bicycles and dedicated visitor cycle parking spaces for 4 bicycles, providing a total of 18 cycle parking spaces.
